How can you tap into your personal stories to make your own or your organization's communication more effective? What are the major story types you can in your organization's communications from the origins of your initiative to the impact you make? And most importantly, can you turn your organization into a storytelling one? Can you build your NGO around strong stories? I am helping social entreprises, NGOs and different organizations use storytelling in their strategies and communications. I have worked for organizations like the Transparency International, World Café Europe and the Open Society Foundation. Look at this example of a video we created for a social entreprise in Romania.
The Storytelling for Change workshop concept is two day crash course which introduces to the participants the concept of storytelling and why this age old technique has once again become essential in the new internet- and social media based era. It also helps participants become better storytellers, build their presentation skills and draw out engagement and enthusiasm they never knew were there. The highly interactive sessions will help explore what stories are, how they work, and how making them retellable will hold together presentations, events, campaigns and organizations. Clients include the Open Society Foundation, IFOK and Ashoka. Look at this and this example for photos to get a taste of the atmosphere during the trainings.
